Education Analytics (EA) is a non-profit organization that uses rigorous data analysis to inform education research, management, and policy decisions. Our staff is a group of highly motivated, energetic, passionate analysts and researchers who work with school districts, states, and foundation partners across the U.S. to identify innovative ways to improve education systems.
We are seeking an experienced financial leader with a history of successful financial management in the non-profit or government contractor sector. will collaborate with program managers, partners in the field and EA executives. The position will report to the COO and will take a leadership role in directing and implementing EA’s financial strategies.
Finance and Accounting Leadership
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
- Coordinate all audit activity.
- Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of Education Analytics, Inc.’s financial status.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for a mature leader with seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in accounting and audit, followed by experience gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders. She or he will ideally have experience in a complex nonprofit that has multiple programs.
